Sunflower Quiltworks is a family owned and operated business. My husband and I live with our daughter, son-in-law and 5 of our 7 beautiful grandchildren on a 32 acre farm in Middle Tennessee where we have dairy goats, chickens and enjoy gardening. We are a homeschooling family. Our eldest grandson is now serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. Our second oldest has graduated and is going to college. The 3 younger grandchildren are heavily involved in competitive gymnastics in which they brought home several gold medals, 2 state championships and 1 regional qualifier. I am a Martha Pullen Licensed French Heirloom sewing instructor and have been a quilting and machine arts instructor for over 25 years. I have taught quilting classes in Alaska, California, Colorado and Tennessee. I also worked as a national educator for a major brand of sewing machines. Having retired from full time teaching I enjoy quilting for others and making French Heirloom garments and gifts. My husband is also retired from the sewing industry, but continues to work with machine embroidery software and enjoys creating machine embroidery designs and cross stitch machine embroidery designs.. I am assisted by Berni and Patch, pure white 2 year old cats. I use a mid arm quilting frame with an extended arm machine, therefore designs are smaller than traditional long arm designs and I do all my designs freehand. My studio is smoke free.
